It ain't over.

Kathy killin' sit ups during Baseline.

GREAT MONTH, PEOPLES! Very proud of your efforts this month. Saw some good numbers this morning. Post ‘em up so we can see ‘em.

Just because today is the end of June bootcamp doesn’t mean we all of a sudden become sedentary couch potatoes and start eating donuts and chicken wings and drinking 3 glasses of wine a night. This is the basis for change. What we’re after with this program is a true lifestyle change. Changing your approach to fitness and health. Adjusting our diet to be healthier for good. You have to eat your entire life – you might as well choose good stuff to put in your body. And you only get one of those bodies, so you might as well keep it in shape and working for you. Right? And if you need help and guidance, well that’s what we’re here for…

We’re back in the park(s) on July 6th! **THIS IS A CORRECTION FROM EARLIER – FIRST DAY IS TUESDAY, JULY 6!**

Want to do a “mud run”? Peep this one. I’m gonna do it!

Friday’s Workout: Baseline/PT Tests. How’d you do?

Great month! I acheived 2 of my goals: 2:04 on the plank and I had fun staying fit. I fell short on the Baseline goal of sub-6 min., but my time 0f 6:23 was over 30 seconds better than at the beginning of the month so Carter must be doing something right. I’ll be gone the week of the 5th, but will be back to bootcamp after that. Until then, have a great summer.

I cannot thank you enough for thoroughly kicking my butt into shape Carter!
As goals go, I can say I am pretty well accomplished–(1)I can now run without “hurting all over,” (2)I have dropped (almost) a full size**I need to continue to work on this**(3)I have overhauled my eating habits and can now “practice what I preach” daily to my kids. So I am a very happy chicquita!
Now for #’s, I improved on my baseline by 18 seconds 7:38 to 7:20 but more importantly I kept an even pace in “running” (I am not sure I count what I do as running though). My plank improved by 1 minute and 42 seconds, getting me up to 2:50–woo-hoo!
So I look forward to Round 2 with you and Amber in July!

Dorothy and I did the Mud Run in Columbia last year and are doing it again this year. We will not be in town for the Belmont mud run, but if it is anything like the one in Columbia, it will be a blast. I recommend it to all boot campers.
